10th Annual Lisa Rendall Golf Classic

 

THANK YOU to all our sponsors and especially our GOLFERS! The 10th Annual Lisa Rendall Golf Classic shattered all previous records, raising over $66,000 for breast cancer research at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. We couldn’t do it without YOU. This year the golfers brought in over $20,000 in donations! Thank you EVERYONE for your support. June 9, 2010 was a landmark day as we celebrated the 10th year of “driving for a cure” at the Lisa Rendall Golf Classic Presented by Benjamin Moore’s local dealers - Days Paints, and Eastside Paint & Wallpaper. It was the ONLY day of the week with SUN and the golfers were in high spirits and ready to have fun while fundraising.

The 10th Annual Lisa Rendall Golf Classic for Breast Cancer Research was held at The Willows Golf  & Country Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan  and raised over $66,000 - a RECORD! Extra Special thanks to Event Coordinator Glenda Martens for all her hard work and dedication to the Lisa Rendall Golf Classic. 2010 Presenting Sponsor!

Tee off  was a shotgun start at 9:45am, with a Texas Scramble (best ball) format. Thanks to our Presenting Sponsors - Eastside Paint & Wallpaper (Walpole and Ludlow locations) and Days Paints on 2nd Avenue - your Benjamin Moore retailers in Saskatoon.

This is the 5th year Benjamin Moore has been our Presenting Sponsor and it’s because of their committment and support that we raise more money with each year they are involved!

 

Our goal has always been to ensure as much money as possible goes to breast cancer research, and with that in mind, prizes are awarded to those who collect donations for breast cancer research.  All money raised at the Lisa Rendall Golf Classic is donated to the C95 Radio Marathon and goes directly to breast cancer research at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. All money raised STAYS in Saskatchewan and is used for research being conducted at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency’s research facility in Saskatoon.

Proceeds from the 2010 event will be donated in memory of Chandra Dattani

who lost her battle with breast cancer in March of 2010 at the age of 56.

And, to Olga Stefaniuk who lost her battle in May 2010. She brought HOPE to so many.

  

 

Thanks to our Hole-in-One Sponsor Jacuzzi Premium Spas & Billiards, we had a hole-in-one contest with a prize of one million dollars! The Million Dollar Hole-in-One Contest did not produce a winner but it was a memorable shot!

A slideshow of the last 9 years ran in the banquet room on a continual basis - showing the growth of the tournament and some of the crazy highlights from over the years…and many more from this year will be added (and some can never been seen in public!).

MEMORIES FROM 2009:

The 9th Annual Lisa Rendall Golf Classic Presented by Benjamin Moore was a GREAT success! Sincere thanks to all who came out to golf, our Sponsors and the many businesses and individuals who donated prizes. Please contact Lisa for more information (info@lisarendall.com).   Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $10 by the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.  ALL money raised in 2009 was donated in loving memory of Angie Sather who lost her battle with breast cancer in January 2009 at the tender age of 32.
