Reviews

“Lisa Rendall, a breast cancer survivor, gave a talk entitled “Cancer Lives With Me: Living Proof Research Works”. Lisa shared her warm, yet matter-of-fact, experiences with cancer and I thought this was a nice way to launch the meeting and to remind us of our contributions”.

Brian Keller, Toronto Sunnybrook Cancer Centre regarding Lisa’s presentation at the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists Annual Meeting.

“Yesterday I spent the day at a breast cancer conference called Positively Pink . The most inspiring presentation was delivered to a full house by Lisa Rendall. Lisa was born in a small town in Saskatchewan and while building her career as a radio personality, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at age 35. After eight years and an unbelieveable story of a first class medical team and her personal courage and determination, her cancer remains stable. I was swept away by Lisa - her humour, her mission and her total dedication to helping others by raising money, telling her story and being a pioneer in the way she lives her life. She is a powerful presence and she concludes her talk by stating: “cancer lives with me; I don’t live with cancer.” It is not every day you meet a Lisa Rendall but when you do, it is a gift.”

“I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lisa on a number of occasions. Lisa is one of those people that makes you think and say WOW! … a fabulous person, an inspiration, a passionate, determined person who really makes a difference, one could easily go on and on about Lisa.  Personally, I am honoured to do anything I can to help Lisa and the fight against breast cancer and I hope you too will take the few moments it takes to help as well.”

“After listening to Lisa Rendall speak last week it really made me think. I definitely know I don’t live each day to it’s fullest. I don’t appreciate all that I should. Thank you so much Lisa! You were very inspirational and I am very glad to have met you. Definitely made me more grateful for the little things in my life and also made me realize that there are a lot of things that just don’t really matter. THANK YOU!”
